John Moore was born in Ireland.
He began his career as a news photographer and cameraman before making the transition to directing music videos and short films, many of which won awards including the Golden Bear at Berlin.
John has worked with many international brands including Sony Playstation, Guinness, Kelloggs and Adidas.
His early work was praised for visual flair and imaginative camerawork, and several of his commercials have won international awards such as the Clio and the New York Gold Medal.
In 2000 John moved to Los Angeles to direct his first feature film, “Behind Enemy Lines” starring Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman.
John went on to direct many feature films including “Max Payne” starring Mark Wahlberg and “A Good Day to Die Hard” starring Bruce Willis in his most famous role as Detective John McClane.
His latest feature is the technological thriller “I.T” starring Pierce Brosnan.
Story-telling is at the heart of everything John does, and he believes that people can be powerfully moved on an emotional level through images.
